What to check before rollout
Start with a runtime inventory. Match each deployed Corretto major version to its corresponding patch build, and track patch deployment separately from any planned migration to a different Java major version.
A practical rollout checklist:
- Inventory application hosts, CI runners and container images separately.
- Plan package updates or image rebuilds as appropriate for each deployment.
- Exercise representative workloads before broad deployment.
- Verify the runtime version actually used by applications after rollout.
The AWS notice does not enumerate vulnerabilities or severity ratings. Treat its version list as an availability reference, not an assessment of risk for a particular installation. When prioritizing patches, consult the relevant release notes and security advisories rather than assuming identical exposure across all six lines. Announcement scope
