Amazon Web Services announced on October 28, 2026, that the Amazon EKS Dashboard now shows certificate authority (CA) rotation information across a cluster fleet. The update extends the dashboard’s existing cross-account and cross-Region visibility, giving platform teams a consolidated view of clusters that may need attention. ## What the dashboard now shows

According to AWS, the dashboard displays each cluster’s CA rotation status, identifies CAs approaching expiration and shows upcoming automated rotation events. Teams managing many clusters can review those signals in one place rather than checking clusters individually.

AWS says each EKS cluster has its own CA, and clusters created since 2018 have CAs with 10-year validity periods. The company presents the new visibility as a way to prioritize rotation work across a fleet. ## Availability and setup requirements

AWS says the dashboard is available at no additional cost and is viewed from US East (`us-east-1`). Separately, CA rotation support extends to all commercial AWS Regions. The dashboard’s viewing Region should not be confused with the geographic scope of rotation support.

The dashboard aggregates data across accounts and Regions through AWS Organizations. To use this capability, organizations must enable trusted access for the dashboard in their organization’s management account. ## Use the fleet view to prioritize work

The practical value is triage: teams can use the consolidated status information to decide which clusters to investigate first and assign responsibility for follow-up work.

Treat that visibility as an input to rotation planning, not a substitute for a rotation runbook. Before scheduling work, teams should review dependencies and define post-rotation verification appropriate to their environments.
