AWS adds automated checks for Amazon Connect Customer evaluation forms

The checks flag questions that lack context for AI scoring and suggest more specific criteria. AWS lists availability in eight Regions.

Announcement: · From AWS

AWS announced automated checks for Amazon Connect Customer performance evaluation forms on October 9, 2026. The feature is intended to help managers make questions more specific for evaluations automatically filled by AI. AWS announcement

What the checks flag

According to AWS, managers can run a single-click check against best practices while setting up an evaluation form. They receive a list of questions missing context for reliable AI scoring, along with suggestions to make those questions more specific.

AWS’s example is “Did the agent provide a sales disclosure?” The check might flag that question and prompt the manager to define exactly what the agent must disclose before a sale. AWS describes the feature as helping managers automatically score both human and AI agents. Feature details

Clearer criteria are not proof of accurate scores

For engineering teams, the useful distinction is between improving a form and validating an evaluator. AWS presents improved evaluation accuracy as a benefit, but its announcement provides no accuracy measurements. The checks are best treated as a form-design aid, not proof that the resulting scores are correct.

A practical validation plan would compare AI scores with human-reviewed judgments on the same representative interactions before and after revising the questions. Examining where disagreements persist would help teams assess whether more specific criteria improve agreement in their deployment, rather than assuming that clearer wording guarantees better performance.

Availability: eight AWS Regions

In its October 9 announcement, AWS listed the feature as available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (London), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Asia Pacific (Tokyo). Regional availability
